In Literacy for writing, we have been learning to think about what is happening in stories we read and practice retelling them.
This group listened to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk being read to them. They then had to write sentences about one part of the story. We know that if there is a word that we can’t spell, we have to say the word and write down the words we can hear in the word.
Kaka shows his capability writing his ideas about the story read to him. He works collaboratively with others and listened carefully showing his curiosity.

In iExplore, this group have been learning about what’s going on in the world and in particular the Rugby League World Cup. As part of our curiosity, a lot of the learners did not know anything about rugby league. They had some knowledge of rugby and the All Blacks but rugby league is a different code altogether. In this group we’ve looked at the countries that are participating, positions in rugby league and finding out more about this sport and event that’s happening now in Australia and New Zealand.
